South London producer and DJ Mala has been a key figure in electronic music since the early 2000s. As part of the DMZ crew, he helped shape dubstep, a genre deeply rooted in sound system culture. In 2006, he founded DEEP MEDi MUSIK, a label dedicated to experimental bass music, featuring artists like Kaiju, Silkie, and Goth-Trad.
