Continuing their series of eclectic music curation, Carhartt WIP will spotlight the influential record label, store, and distributor Clone Records for March's radio show.
Founded in 1992 by Serge Clone, the label is rooted in electro, house, and techno. In over 30 years of business, its roster of artist has grown to include the likes of Danny Wolfers (@
legowelt_official), Rohan / Randomer (@rohanrandomer), and Roman Flügel (@roman_fluegel). Other honorable mentions are Detroit's Drexciya, The Other People Place, and Der Zyklus.
The label also encompasses several notable sub-labels including Basement Series, Royal Oak, and Clone Jack for Daze.
March's episode of Carhartt WIP Radio offers Serge's insight into the label with a mix of featuring tracks from its most recent catalog, while also paying tribute to the birthplace of techno - Detroit.
