Carhartt WIP focuses on Belgian label & popular music festival @meakusma for their August 2024 radio show.
Founded in 2004, @meakusma started as a series of events in Brussels and the small eastern Belgian city of Eupen. It later expanded to become a record label in 2008 and a full-fledged festival in 2016. @meakusma's mission is to celebrate the unclassifiable through music, installations, and lectures.
Meakusma has released a variety of albums by artists like Madteo, Viola Klein, Tomaga, Charlemagne Palestine, Don’t DJ, Lord Tang, Sam Gendel, or Pretty Sneaky that transcend genre and classification ever since the label’s founding.
The founders of Meakusma assembled a wide mix for this Carhartt WIP Radio edition that has minimal techno from Terrence Dixon of Detroit, twisted electronics from Berlin's Peter Kock, abstract sounds by Roger 23, and minimal techno from Detroit's Roger 23.
